Healthier spaces.
Healthier people.

No One Should Get Sick While Trying to Get Better.

Unfortunately, nearly 100,000 people will die from healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) this year. That’s twice the number of people who die annually in car crashes, yet infection rates continue to grow at alarming rates. HAIs are infections that patients contract during the course of treatment and, despite increased global efforts to target them, disinfectant protocols in the healthcare industry have remained largely unchanged.

EMist was developed to help healthcare organizations reduce HAIs and improve patient outcomes while reducing costs. But, most importantly, EMist can help save lives. Studies have shown that less than 50% of environmental surfaces in patient care rooms are properly cleaned and disinfected. Evidence strongly suggests that cross contamination of microorganisms from environmental surfaces is directly related to patient infections. High-contact surfaces such as bed rails, bed surfaces, tables, fluid poles, doorknobs and supply carts have all been identified as having the greatest potential for pathogen transmission. Existing healthcare disinfection methods including wipes, spray and wipe, fogging, and UV lighting are largely ineffective and/or expensive.

EMist has proven to be an exceptionally powerful and cost effective alternative to traditional disinfection methods. Our electrostatic application technology comprehensively and efficiently applies the most advanced chemistries the world has to offer to exposed touch point surfaces, thus enabling the solution to meet its advertised performance claims.

Our EM360 system applies disinfectant solutions with its patented technology to environmental surfaces using electrostatic induction charging. The liquid droplets are positively charged by the spray system which is then driven to the surface target area in a consistent manner allowing for comprehensive uniform coverage. Simply put, our technology applies more evenly, clings to surfaces like a magnet, and reduces waste significantly. It is safe on sensitive equipment and treats areas untouched by traditional methodologies.

Since day one, it has been EMist’s mission to help in the fight against the unnecessary spread of sickness & infection. With the right combination of educated and trained cleaning professionals , the right processes, and the right products the risk of HAIs can be mitigated.

Clean. Health-E. Complete.

How does the EMist Electrostatic Application System create healthier environments?

Most surface areas are neutral or negative. The patented EMist system places a powerfully positive charge on the chemical disinfectant as it leaves the spray nozzle creating greater adhesion and attraction (electromagnetic theory). The disinfectant is more targeted, provides more consistent coverage with less waste.

Job number one for healthcare cleaning professionals is infection prevention. This year alone it’s estimated that 1.7 million people will contract a totally preventable healthcare-associated infection (HAI) that will add nearly $20 billion to healthcare costs. The EM360 Electrostatic Disinfectant Application System is superior to traditional spray and wipe methods because the technology provides a no-touch application to environmental surfaces that can eliminate cross-contamination and help render surfaces hygienically clean, for a more effective and efficient outcome against HAIs. EMist lowers environmental bio burden, improves outcomes and decreases the bottom line.
